About this blog

August, 2010 — After a couple of years of writing this blog, market perspectives have changed and so has the tone of this blog.   “Vendor Compliance” in most industries means keeping the vendor on track vis a vis the terms of the contract.   And healthcare has rallied around the term “vendor credentialing” to mean ensuring that a supplier meets the healthcare providers’ standards before and during the life of the relationship.

The content of this blog increasingly focuses on vendor information management, including credentialing, in healthcare.  Every department in a hospital has an interest in vendors — from the supply chain materials management role of vendor selection to the clinical perspective of leveraging supplier expertise to improve patient care by implementing innovative new devices.  The relationship between healthcare providers and suppliers is complex.

This blog explores that relationships.  We’ll continue to toss out our point of view, but we welcome your thoughts and insight as well.

Andy, Can you put me in touch with the gal recently you spoke of on the blog about physician recruitment fraud? She has the potential to be a nicely compensated great expert witness, in the growing counter-litigation against such fraud.
